Anyone have this issue and know how to fix?  I bought the Lionel New York Central Flyer set 6-30200.  It ran great for a few hours.  Then the Railsounds feature partially malfunctioned.  The chuff works fine in either direction. The bell and whistle work fine.  However, the crew dialogue does not work 99% of the time.  If the unit is in neutral, a press of the whistle would usually activate crew dialogue, but now nothing.  Every once in a while, after the unit being off for a while, the crew talk will randomly sound with the whistle even if the train is in motion.  Does not make sense.  i have performed visual inspection and do not see any loose wires or ohysical defects.  I removed the tender shell to view the speaker unit and everything looks ok to my untrained eye.  Anyone know what's up?  Thanks.

Hi, this may be a silly question, but two things pop straight into my mind. Firstly, are you perhaps pressing the whistle for too long? Only a very brief whistle is needed to activate the crew-talk feature. Secondly, when in neutral, do you have sufficient voltage to enable the sounds to operate?

The length of time that you press the whistle button could also explain the 'random' talk when the train is moving.

Sorry if these sound like stupid questions, but often it's the simple things that confuse us longest.
