A friend removed the shell to replace the light and did not replace the shell. I do not want to break the shell when re assembling. Is there a technique?
On the rear are two metal tabs. Align those first and then gently push forward until the shell is properly positioned. Then turn it over and position the front truck so you can replace the screws in the nose.
depending on the year..it was made early f3s have 2 screws in the rear and 1 screw in the front...later issues have a clip in the rear and 1 screw in the front..be careful don't over tighten them,also be gentle with the rear clip.....the screws were coarse thread....
