On Thursday, does it typically take a long time to sign up and get your badge if you aren't a current member of TCA?  I would like to join as a digital member which I saw is offered now.  I should have called today but didn't get to it.  I went as a public entry last fall but am looking forward to getting back in the other buildings!

My suggestion is to call the TCA main office in Strassburg this Monday and ask just to get a clear answer.

I would think that you can join TCA, while at York,  which is strategic in getting your York badge.  For me,  in the past as a TCA member when missing the deadline for York pre-registration,   it would take me anywhere from 10 - 20 minutes to get my badge late Friday mornings.  Then again I was already a member of TCA.

I hope this helps and enjoy the York experience!

I would say it does not take a long time to join TCA on-site Thursday and then get your badge for entry into all the buildgs of the show.  Maria from TCA HQ will be at the registration area on Thursday.  Or call Maria at TCA HQ:

On Monday or Tuesday.  Ask her the most expedious process.  Maybe it's joining over the phone when you talk to her and then have her bring your membership card to the registration area where you can pick it up on Thursday and then do your train show admission thing.

Since the meet does not start until 12 noon on Thursday, you have plenty of time to get signed up.  The Registration opens before the meet.  The few times I had friends register; it took anywhere from 15-20 minutes depending on the line.   The line moves pretty fast, and they have a pretty smooth process to get it done quickly.
