I was going to surprise my grandfather by putting a new sound file on his Reading Crusader for a more updated sound, well i mixed up the sound files, the engine is a 3v and the new sound was a 5v, and now the train doesn't have any sound at all, and it doesn't start up, so i found a Reading 3v sound to match the engine and followed the directions and the loader software said I had a successful upload, but the engine did the same thing, it didn't start up and it didn't have any sound.

Start with a factory reset of the engine, then see if you can make some progress.
Hi Landon,
What version of the loader program are you using?
The loader program should not have permitted you to load a 5 volt file onto a 3 volt board. Try a feature reset rather than a factory reset. Right now you don't want to change the locomotive's ID number, but you do want to be sure the volume adjustments are turned up. Assuming the reset doesn't get your sound back, try loading the original sound file. It should be THIS ONE. Watch the loader program when it starts the loading procedure. There will be a readout showing the type of board when the program links to the locomotive. Be sure it reads "3v."
Report back and let us know how it goes.
