Hello,

I'm looking for a paint to match my Reading RS3's that are painted in the early dark green with gold letters motif (pre-green and yellow scheme).  I found references to a "Woodfield Green", but I can find no hobby paint with that name.  "Pullman Green" seems close, but if someone knows of a better match, please let me know.

You might want to try the "Model Railroad Shop" in Dunellen, NJ. I know they had custom runs made of Scalecoat paint for CNJ and possibly Reading too. If anything they probably know which is the more correct color to use.  Pullman green is close but the early Reading green had more of a brown tint.

Paul,

Thanks for the tip.  I sent an email and we will see what comes of it.

Gunrunnerjohn,

I actually stopped by the store late last week.  When I asked if you carried paint, the reply was "just our own".  No further explanation was given and I assumed at that point it was something you had for in-store use only like repairs or restorations.

At this point I will attempt to mix something myself.  If I come up with a reproducible formula, I'll let you know.
