I'm intrigued by the Reading T-1's in the Volume 2 2020 MTH Catalog. The version on the catalog front cover isn't even in the catalog. And does anyone know the backstory on the blue Blue Mountain and Reading 2102?
The T-1 I'd prefer to order is the one on the cover. Yet it's not inside on the list. I sent them an email; not sure if I'll get a response.

Anyone with any idea on this? I’ve emailed MTH twice and received no response. The 2101 Rambles version in the catalog doesn’t have white wall wheels. I’m confused.
Lionel has some very nice Legacy Reading T1 locomotives. 
That's the Reading Rambles paint scheme. Page 75, Second down from the top.

I road the very first Reading RR Iron Horse Ramble behind 2124, in 1959, and chased a number of the subsequent Rambles. The T-1 locomotives did indeed have the white tires treatment, back then.

Right. As I said in my reply to my post to bring it back to the top, there’s a Rambles scheme but no white walls.

They sure do! But there’s a PS3 sound file from a RailKing saying “Welcome to Tamaqua”, which is my father’s home town.
I believe whitewall tires is correct. Let's hope MTH sees this post and corrects the omission. After all, they did have it right on the catalog cover.

Exactly! I sure hope so. I don’t want to pre order without knowing the 2101 will be like the 2102 on the cover that’s not even in the catalog.
