I'm not sure where to post this. Does anyone manufacture or use a look-alike control stand similar to that of a real diesel
to operate their trains?

I have seen ads for the desk top type of controls to be used with RR videos but.not the control stand type. The closest that I know of are Lionel KWs that have two handles. I use one on my layout , strong out put with whistle and direction control. Or use a ZW mounted on its side so the two big handles go out to the side. You could probably build one with the control stand handle extending down to a transformer down below.
I remember back in the early 60's in Model Railroader Linn Westcott did a model of a diesel control stand in connection with the TAT throttle series. Don't know the exact dates though.

Can't get much closer to the prototype than what this guy did. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51V1FEoJhTA

I wonder what his day job is, the man is brilliant!
best RR item I've seen in years. wow!
That is amazing. The work that went into that along with the knowledge and skills is beyond words.
Boy that is sure refreshing to see, in this day and age when folks want to run trains via their i pad.
If I had something like that, you would never be able to get me out of the train room. AMAZING!

You can download their O Scale Diesel catalog of detail parts. Page 13 and 14 has cab interior details including control stands and seating. This is really detailed stuff and is of the quality of their brass locos.
Definitely agree! Bruce is brilliant and has achieved the most realistic operation of a model railroad one could ever imagine!
