Hello all!! My name is Neel Flannagan.. I was an early Forum member.. 'Disappeared' for awhile, now I'm back.. I built a small layout (4'x9') for my daughter and me years ago.. I was pleased with the results-as much as I could be-given the space and the fact that I used all Lionel O gauge track and switches.. I used a block system which I could control all power to any track using a CAB 1 or my LW.. Lighting and accessorizes were powered by an 1033.. I built a control panel to control all functions of the layout..
I'm planning my last layout, 11'x14'.. My theme is 'N&W-Southern Railway'.. I will be using all Gargraves Tinplate Phantom Rail track and Ross turnouts, unless I'm convinced otherwise.. Must haves: Duel Main, Ross crossover, and a Ross 4-way yard track.. Everything else is wide open.. I'm looking to run, as closely as possible, a 12"=1' operation.. Not sure of my layout power control.. I have mostly conventional engines.. I am not opposed to converting them for remote operation.. I'm a bit 'behind' the learning curve on power control, but I learn pretty quickly.. I'll have all the assistance I need here, I hope.. I just purchased layout software to put my plan into operation.. I'm prepping the room now..
