how do you guys store your remotes on your layouts with dcs or lionel legacy systems
Replies sorted oldest to newest
Just like any other remote I own, out in the open which means i can never find it when i need it.
My Legacy remote nestles into its cradle on the base unit when not in active use.
no im talking about the cab 1 or 1-l or the dcs handheald

Wherever I sit them down when I'm finished running.
I sit the CAB2 in the #990 base, and the DCS remote just lays next to it. The second CAB2 sits in the #993 charging stand and charges. I don't know where the 3rd CAB2 is, but it normally goes to the club with me, along with one of the DCS remotes.
That works but what a bout some type of home made storage.Because i am making a remote stand and need a pic or a idea.
Go purchase a sturdy see thru plastic box with handles and you good to go !!!

I put my Legacy remote upside down in the base to keep dust off. That was a good suggestion by one of the forumites.

I have a bunch of Folgers plastic coffee cans attached to the legs of my layout, and put my CAB1 remotes in those.

West Marine for a whopping $12. Cut a hole in the top of your benchwork, drop it in and secure it with a few screws.
