Removal of Smoke Unit from 6-82694...HOW?? | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hi All;

I need to remove and test/service the smoke unit from my 6-82694 Lionmaster Challenger.

But I'll be darn if I can figure out how the smoke unit comes out of the body shell!

Below are some pics of the unit in the shell:

The pic above is looking down showing the bottom of the entire smoke unit still inside the shell.

This pic is from inside the shell looking towards the front of the boiler shell showing the back of the smoke unit with the two motors.

Is there anyone here on the forum that has experience in or ideas for removing the smoke unit from the engine shell?

Right now I'm stumped! I could really use some help.
