For the lowest cost and convenience try vinegar. But I know Evaporust works well and can be poured back and reused until black sludge, it's ate so much rust.

It's not something to overthink and you may wait months to find that one member that used one just because the other wasnt as good.

Soak ,check, agitate, soak, check, etc. Only you know how fast it's working on your track be it vinegar or Evaporust. Evidently both work. Try one. Not happy? Try another.

The electrolysis method of borax in water and a battery charger is likely the best wet method.

If you use abrasive flush and brush it off well.  Try a scotch brite pad instead of sandpaper unless you know metal finishing grits...you don't.

Gotta tell you guys......went and got some white vinegar......put my radius track in a bucket.....within a half hour.......rust is melting away.......using a scratch pad and small wire brush......Amazing .....looks almost as good as new.......many thanks to everyone who responded.....👍👍 cleaning the straights also.........
