I bought a rmt beep that has been converted to tmcc by the original owner.  The beep is nice looking but does not work on my layout. I would like to put the tmcc board in a nother locomotiveand put the beep back to factory. But I'm not sure what the factory board lois like. Any ideas, pictures or ideas.

Thanks

Thanks to all who answered. I'm am ordering a electronic e unit and putting in it. Will be placing the tmcc board in a 0-8-0 that I run offten. The beeps seem popular and seem to run good for most. I found the chassis is to low to the track and grounds out on my frogs. So I will run it in conventional every now and then and leave the tmcc on a bigger swither. Thanks.

I think one of the issues with the BEEP is some switch frogs stick up just slightly, and the collectors on the BEEP chassis have very little travel before the bottom out.  I find the special issue is some uncoupling tracks, the magnet assembly sticks up just enough to bounce the collector roller and short it to the frame.  I've seen the BEEP do a little hop when crossing those.

Pete,

The bottoms of the fuel tanks hit the frog and when you have 18v on the track for tmcc it blows 7.5 fuses instantly. So yes I have thought about getting another one to dubble head them and have a longer power pic up, and that's still open but will be removing the tmcc.

Fuel tanks?  Are you talking about the gearbox, that's the only thing I can see that might hit the hot rail.

Careful! the OEM beep boards I had were a LOT smaller than what the gunrunner posts and worse yet, they are SENSITIVE! You can easily blow them out with static electricity if you are not careful. IMHO, leave in the TMCC and see if someone can swap the chassis with youFS-BpChsis1

Does anyone have a closer picture or a schematic that shows what wires on this board goes where? My board is labeled with wires, but not what the wires are meant for. Motor, incoming power, lighting, etc?
