I'm in the process of swapping out older MTH speakers in all of my units and have run across one I cannot locate anywhere. The MTH part number is BF-0000031. It's a 45mm 16-ohm, 2W speaker. The ...33 speaker is too big, otherwise, I would just use it instead. Anybody have knowledge of a source for a 31 replacement?

Those have not been available for about 5 years now. Forum members GGG, and Gunrunner John may have one around. Good luck. The couple of times I needed one, for a Great Northern 4-8-4 I believe, I used a dremel and cut a BF-33 to fit.

Thanks, guys. I found a solution that is working great: AHD 1.77" High Bass Speaker. I found mine at DCC Hobby. It's an 8-ohm speaker; some may want to stick in an 8-ohm, 5W resistor. I don't drive my sound hard enough to worry about it. Width-wise, the speaker is perfect. It's a hair taller than the original, so I couldn't use the cardboard enclosure. Even without the enclosure, the sound is excellent.
