Replacement Airplane for Lionel #50 Pylon

I picked up an airplane pylon accessory from York. It had original plane, but I do not want to risk using it with two small kids in house (1 & 3). Does anyone know where a repro plane can be purchased? Has anyone ever made a santa claus or other character that fits where plane attatches?

MTH has had them before at there parts booth at York. You may want to give the parts department a call.
