The main board on a Lionel #170 Nickel Plate Road, 6-84936 had to replaced, but when I installed it my original remote no longer worked. I discovered why. The WRONG ENGINE is programmed onto the chip. Using the Lionchief App, which DOES communicate with the bluetooth of this engine, (although  not on all functions), the engine/chip is identified as a DIESEL SWITCHER- a Milwaukee Road 1649 NW2, and NOT the proper Lionel #170 Hudson Steamer- Nickel Plate Road!  Obviously Lionel will be getting a call from me, but wondering if  I was missing something obvious? Is there an easy way to "reset" the board?  I was assured when I placed the order with Lionel that my Lionchief Plus remote should work just fine with this board. About the only obvious visible differences between these two PCB's is that on my big chip there is a sticker that says ENGM172,  but there is no such label on the new replacement board. Is this experience commonplace with Lionel parts, where there is incorrect programming of boards?
