They might work but they meant for P48.  I suppose, with different tires and axle they could be modified for 5' gauge.  Keep in mind they will require machining.

PSC, if you do not mind .172 tread width.  Nowhere near $20, in my recollection.  Also, you can look for a Lionel 700E trailing truck, and insulate one of the wheels.  They turn up often.

The largest PSC makes is 45".  They used to offer 50" but, as far as I know, they are no longer available.

Guess I could make a new master for a wider tire but what's the point?  I'd probably sell 3 sets over 10 years.  Not worth the time and expense.

If a person doesn't want the P48 axle & tires you could Norm how much he wants for just the castings.

Please keep in mind Slater's products are 1/43rd scale.  As an example, I have a set of their 3' 9" spoked wheels that measure close to 48" in 1/48th.

I would offer the set I have but they're flush axle and I assume you need shouldered.

Good idea.  I went to Bob's website to check for availability and found no 50-51" spoked wheels.  Doesn't mean he doesn't have them.  I agree, give him a call.
