Joe, I think this is the kind of thing you are looking for.  As Arno says, an O Gauge drive wheel even though it's on a standard gauge locomotive.  Again, check with Harry Hennings: he might not be familiar with the Daniels GG-1, but give him your caliper measurements and he'll let you know whether these or others he has are the right ones.

Yes.  Thanks.  Harry is checking the dimensions for me.  If the diameter of the flange is different, it should still work as long as the wheel has the same diameter, right?   I figure as long as all the wheels sit the same height above the rail the depth of flange can be different?  Am I right about this?

Too deep a flange can cause derailment on small height rails and problems in turnout switches.

But most G gauge track is larger than O tinplate, so you might be ok.

If you are running on Scale Size track you may want to figure the maximum flange depth that will not hit ties or spikes.

there are some g scale wheels on bay.

You will not have any problem with a larger flange running any O Gauge wheel on Standard Gauge track.  You are right, go by the wheel rim diameter, the flange is incidental.

The only issue may be on the Daniels GG-1 itself, rather than on the track:  the axles are spaced fairly close together, so you would want to be aware of the flanges of wheels on adjoining axles clearing each other.  Again, probably not an issue because it was this kind of O Gauge wheel that was originally used.
