Replacing my first speaker on a MTH 4-8-2 U1F Mountain Steam Engine

Don't get wrapped around the axle over Watt rating, it's not like we are pushing 40 Watts into these.

What matters most is 3 things- one of which is not even shown to you as a rating in that list:

#1 Get the right impedance (Ohms). This determines how the speaker loads the amplifier and a mismatch is not good. You have a PS2 5V board that then requires a matching 16 Ohm speaker.

#2 Size!!! It has to fit the space, both diameter but ALSO height and any magnet clearance.

#3 The rating NOT EVEN LISTED!!! Sensitivity - the rating of how loud a speaker is at 1W of input power. This ultimately determines in our application with limited input power wattage, how loud the speaker is. Typically is often somewhere in the 70 to 90db range at one Watt of input power. A speaker with a higher number here is louder at the same input power when comparing speakers.

I could say there is a 4th too, frequency range.  But it is fair to assume MTH used speakers that were efficiency and frequency effective.

Using the BF-13 is your only MTH option.  I have them in stock if you don't want to pay MTH's $10 shipping for one item.  G
