There doesn't appear to be any easy way to replace a traction tire with a new (tight) rubber tire on the K-line engine in picture.  Anyone have any special ways they've accomplished this replacement. I can't get at the screws to remove the exterior truck hardware (finger pointing to it)  to access the two screws holding the hardware on.  It seems the only way to have a clear path to removing the those screws is to remove the trucks, unless there is a magical way to do this.  Any thoughts appreciated?

Paul-

I've had success using tweezers and flat bladed jeweler's screwdrivers. It takes a few times, but eventually the tire slips into the grooves.

If the truck frames can be removed but the screws can only be accessed from the top of the truck, try rotating the truck as far as it will go to see if there is enough clearance to remove one of the screws; rotate in the other direction to remove the other screw. If not, then the entire truck would have to be separated from the frame before the tires could be replaced.

Hope this helps!
