What "signal" did you get? AFAIK, there is no such message that spontaneously instructs one to reset the TIU.
Could you have pushed the emergency power off button? That comes up with a message.

That is not an instruction to reset anything. It's simply poor English. What it should say is to cycle power for the remote and TIU, i.e., turn both devices off and on again..

Yes, that is what I saw. I turned off power and handheld and I heard a circuit breaker in the tiu click. Now why didn;t my buss 15 amp fuse go instead of the circuit breaker. Is there such a thing as a faulty glass tube fuse? Anyway the message was gone when I turned the handheld back on.

You got the message because you pressed E-Stop on the remote, not because you had a short circuit. The relay in the TIU clicked when you pressed E-Stop..
Normal operation, my grandson found that feature in about 30 seconds of running a train.
