Good morning,
I need some directions on restinng my Atlas GP-9. Lights come on but engine won't go. I shorted my layout with it when I did not turn off the power before sitting it on the track. More wind here in SW Missouri today, as if we have not had enough all ready. At least no snow to make things ultra nasty.

Try what JohnS sugested. It is simple and can often fix many things. If that dosen't work then try the following.
Set the run/program switch to program.
Turn on power and push the following buttons on the remote:
"ENG" button
numbered buttons corsponding to engine address (example "23")
"SET" button
"AUX1" button
the number "1" button
Do not push any other buttons, turn off power and set the engine run/program switch to run and test engine.
If this does not fix the problem do other TMCC engines work OK? If they do then you probably have a bad engine that will need repair. If other TMCC engines do not work then your TMCC base may be at fault.

Since they probably use the standard R2LC with their TMCC package, I'd try the standard TMCC reset codes.
I'd try codes 6 or 8, depending on if this unit has a smoke unit.
