Hi, I need to make a sign with the letters in white with a black background. It's for a Milwaukee Road depot sign. That designated that the station was a predominate one. Have anyone of you done it or know where to get it done at a reasonable cost? Thanks in advance for your help.

If you have Powerpoint, we can create textbook with a black background fill and white letters. Printed on white paper you have your sign. I've done this.
The easiest way is to go to a craft store, buy white stick on letters in the font needed, buy a small sheet of black poster board, make your sign and copy it to card stock. I've made a few signs this way.

I think any of the Microsoft Office applications will do this including Word which I have used this same way. If you want something closer to a decal you can use Evans Hobbycal. It has a white background which can be made clear if needed by using oil based varnish.

Here's an easier way. Go to http://www.buildasign.com/?pscid=10871&extcid=1402&mtcid=e&ntwcid=s&kwcid=build%20a%20sign%20com&gclid=COjZurC-_bgCFQ2f4AodL0UA1g
Now you can create any sign you want. Print it out, reduce it to your size and copy.
Any decent word processing program lets you select a large font, set the background color to black (or any other darker color), and set the font color to white. You can also add borders and other effects.
Makes all sorts of different signs:
