Agreed, a good review, Jason.  I too, had the same derailment problem, but with my Gar Graves switches - two or three of them.  With their light weight, I suspected that weight may be the problem, so I opened each end of each car and added one half ounce weights over each truck.

Problem solved.

Alan - My pleasure! I'm more than happy to mention the LHS and OGR forum in my videos.

Someone had asked about the ride height. I'll admit they do appear to sit on the trucks a little high compared to the prototype. I'm not sure if it can be adjusted or not. I haven't looked.

The lightweight is also a good and bad thing. Good because it doesn't add much weight for the engines to pull. Bad because I have derailed these cars a few times now. Mainly from coupling up to the train and hitting the cars too hard. I don't ram the cars by any means but they just can't take much force especially on a curve. (I have 0-72 and O-80 curves).

These are still great cars though. Just something to keep in mind.

My Procor tank cars weigh just over 13 ounces.  The only lighter O scale freight car that I have is an older Weaver hopper with plastic trucks.  By comparison the Atlas 90 ton chlorine tank cars weigh 20 ounces.

If you would like, you are most welcome to post your video review on the O Scale Freight Car Guide to Tank Cars.  It would make a great addition to the information available there.

This might be a stupid question, but you mentioned it had opening hatches on top.  Could you fill the tank car with BBs through that hatch as a simple and easily reversible way to increase the weight and prevent the derailings?
