Brian what car of mine do you have on your layout?
Bob
Well done PTC. A pictorial review with pertinent text on a real collectible. Brooklin was a cutting edge model maker back in the 70's, even if they are a bit dated by today's standards. My dad started collecting them back then but their price always put them out of my reach. Living 30 miles from Brooklin meant vendors in the area were common enough.
Just a note on the real Skylark...seems GM went all out in 1953 to give customer access to a number of exclusive luxury models. Along with the Cadillac Eldorado and Oldsmobile Fiesta, production for these first year offerings topped out at only 500 each. All were basically hand built and hovered around the $5000 mark. That type of exclusivity hearkened back to prewar days when custom coachwork was common place. Even lowly Chevrolet joined in the celebration, albeit aimed at a different market, with its new sportscar Corvette.

Thanks Kazar. It would be super to have one of these in the driveway or garage.
Great review Brian. Not the typical Review Lite, full of empty calories and no content like what we have seen lately.
Thanks Bob. I appreciate your comments.
Hopefully, if the other stuff continues as it has over the past several weeks, we all will have more to say about it until it stops.
Many thanks to all of you who took the time to post to this thread. It is very pleasing to know that so many of you enjoyed it and it stimulated some very good conversation.
