Does anyone know if the Reynolds Company, manufacturers of Athearn freight car kits are still around.? I have a kit that is missing many of the final detail parts and I decided to try and call them. Their line is disconnected. If they are out of business, does anyone know what the fate of the line is?  Bill Park

I think the line went to a business called Coopers Freight Yard, and then to Locomotive Workshop.    They are both gone now too.   Not sure if the line survived someplace else or not.   I think the guy who ran Coopers freight yard still has a busness called East Gary Car Shop no website but an ad in the most Recent other magazine list a phone as 219-614-7165.    Reynolds has been gone for many  years.

Another option is All Nation LIne.   This has been resurrected by a guy in PA.    He is bringing back more and more parts for their locos and freight cars.     The All Nation kits were/are different from AThearn, but very similar.     The construction style and types of detail parts were very similar.    You might be able to substitute some of their parts.

www.AllnationLine.com  or 570-580-7406

The website shows a lot of parts, but he probably has others not listed.

Long gone by a few decades; last owner was Boxcar Jim somewhere down south and then it disappeared.

As noted, might be able to use All Nation parts and that line has been very nicely revived by John Wubbel up in PA.

But maybe telling what parts you need might be faster yet -- lot of folks have parts for all sorts of stuff stashed away.

Boxcar Jim was at the South West O Scale Meet two weeks ago. Nice guy. He had a lot of kit parts for sale. I believe he has attended the O Scale South Meet as well. He may live over closer to Atlanta. I wish I had talked to him more at the show.
