RMT PREMIUM ORE CARS

I have four of their new woodchip cars on order, so I am interested in this.

IIRC @RMT - Ready Made Trains will get you a response.

I'm still waiting for some LIRR cars too.

Its been a few years since I ordered my RMT Stasburg Ore Cars via Pat's Trains.  Haven't heard a thing about them or when they will arrive.  Never waited this long for anything I can think of.

UPDATE: February 28, 2024

To all:

RMT is aware of this problem and had previously informed our dealers. A completely new freight car truck and coupler has been designed and is currently undergoing very detailed testing both at the factory and at the RMT offices.

Any of these trucks deemed unsatisfactory will be replaced to dealers and customers by RMT. That is why no new RMT ore cars have been announced or delivered.

Please be assured that RMT is working to correct this concern which is taken alot of effort and time. But, I feel the end result will be worth the wait. A completely new detailed wheel with exceptional interior and exterior details, trucks with both air hose and brake shoe detail plus a few more interesting features.

Thank you to all above posters who are interested in this project.

I look forward to announcing and showing the results of our new truck/coupler in a timely manner.

I received this new ore car last month from my LHS. The car body and graphics are excellent - well worth the wait. I have 2 more on order (Ontario Northland and Quebec North Shore and Labrador) and very much appreciate that RMT offers these unique road names, seldom done by other manufacturers.

Yes, there is a lot wheel wobble. The air hose hits the magnet in my uncoupling track sections but is easily fixed with nippers. The wheels ride up on the guard rails in some switches but don't derail after adding weights to NMRA standards.

I am very happy to hear that the backordered items will have newly designed trucks and that I will be able to replace the ones on this car. If the new trucks perform as Walter indicated above, then these will be outstanding products, at an unbeatable price. Thanks Walter and RMT.

I bought mine through Trainworld. They advised, as above, that Walter is working to secure acceptable trucks.

Any updates Walter on both the New Hope & Ivyland ore car and the woodside milk reefer?

ogaugeguy...these NH&I cars you mentioned are custom runs for Henning's Trains in Lansdale, PA. I am sure Harry will shout out when they are available. Expected delivery is late September 2024 to RMT. Preorder them now at Henning's Trains.

Thanks for the speedy reply Walter. I ordered them a while ago and am anxious to get them, especially since there isn't that much available for the NH&I shortline.

Btw, it would be great if someone would do a NH&I caboose since NH&I now runs one at the end of all their passenger excursions. (Hint, Hint)
