I just read that Robert E. McMillan passed away in Fairfax, Vermont on October 9, 2015. As president of the TP&W RR, back in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Bob was instrumental in allowing the NKP 765 to conduct bread-in runs in freight service on his TP&W railroad. Bob was a great railroad man, and many times he dressed in is "railroader work cloths" and helped out as Brakeman, while all the rail fans had no idea he was the President of the railroad.  Great times!

Condolences to his family and friends.

You are absolutely correct on that one Jeff. I remember by step father talking about having the Claytors ride with him back in the 60's and 70's while he engineered on the Southern. I remember him say how much credibility they got from the workers, by listening to their stories, and them getting their hands dirty.

So Rest in Peace Mr. McMillan, as you are very well thought of, and all think you were a "Super Person".....................................
