Seems like monorails have been discussed on here...there was a prototype monorail serving some kind of mineral mine in S. Calif. On a nostalgia trip through a reprint of Wards toy sections, l see the above battery operated toy offered '57-'59. Looks like something, with it's overhead track and mechanism, that could be bashed into some kind of powered model of a monorail, although motor and batteries are self contained. Anybody had this toy, or done such a bash? Got ANY working monorail?

The California monorail might have been the Epsom Salts system, which was a Lartigue-type, also built in Ireland and steam-powered. I recall years ago some article about somebody in England casting A-frames for a model display. The video is of David Argent's layout - I believe he's a forum member. He builds some cool stuff!
Ok is that two story brick structure a kit bashed korber building?
With the exceptions of the Leland and the Stubbe, everything else I am aware of was battery operated or clockwork on elevated track or non-powered "cable" toys.
Is this the one you mean, Hirailer?
