The Ross website states their Traditional Tinplate Switches "are the same height as Lionel and K Line O gauge track and use the same track pins." If you go to their website and click on Products or email them I am sure you can obtain answers for all of your questions.  I have always received a prompt reply to my inquiries.

The regular style Ross switches are about the same height as 027 switches, just add some adapter pins for 027 track and you are good to go. The only thing is the straight track coming out of the Ross switch might be longer then what you need and can be cut down some to fit.

The other thing about Ross switches is they come in 2 styles; with switch machine or without switch machine. I got the ones with the switch machine installed as they are electrically connected all the way through for the center rail. The Ross switch without the switch machine you will have to install center rail power on both sides of the switch.

I would check with Ross too. They say they have O27 mating pins. I believe that would be for the hi-rail switches in particular. The tinplate switches would be too tall for O27 track. I have hi-rail switches, and they are the same height as tubular O track when they are on Midwest Cork roadbed. So, the hi-rail switches may be the same profile as O27 track, but I am not positive.

The DZ-1000 switch motors can be used with the DCS command control system if you have the AIU device sold by MTH for switches and accessories, you must supply power to the AIU for the DZ-1000 to work as the AIU only acts as a switch device. Not sure about the DZ-2500 as I don't use them but have heard the DZ-2500 is for use with command control.

As for price the DZ-1000 is less expensive then the DZ-2500, maybe $10.00 less but check with the Ross Custom switch website. Ross also sells Gargraves track pins.
