Running a TMCC F3A powered engine no sound, with a non-powered Legacy Railsounds F3B. Best way?

Hello forum members! I have a question: I have a powered Post War Celebration Texas Special F3A w/TMCC with no sound and I just purchased a non-powered Post War Celebration Texas Special F3B with Legacy Railsounds. I'm using a Legacy 990 remote and base. I'm wondering what the best way to run them together is.

Do I use the same ID for both? Will I get motor control and better Legacy sound this way?

Do I create a lashup? Will I get motor control and Legacy sound this way?

Any other ideas? Would it have been better if I got a non-powered TMCC B unit with sound?
