S-1 Diesel | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Does anyone know if there has been an S-1 produced in O? I've been able to find a lot of HO scale S-1s, but have been having difficulty finding anything for O. Looking for one for a project/repaint. Thanks!

Unfortunately In 3 Rail there has not been a commercially available ALCo s1 Diesel... if that is what you are talking about. There may have been one in brass for O scale but I am not sure.

Doing a Google Search, a company called "the Car Works" did all the ALCO S switchers and the ALCo T6. The Car Works used the Weaver chain drive which can be converted to three rail if that is what you are looking for.

In 3 rail the Alco S2 has been made and it maybe possible for you to Take an ALCo S2 and make it into an ALCo S1.

I don't believe I have ever seen the narrow stack for it in O either.

I have the CNJ in H.O.
