I am looking for a club that runs scale track with DC power. I have a powered scale wheel AA set of DL&W E8's with 5 passenger cars. I am going to add a set of DL&W train masters with scale wheels and a Budd streamline passenger set. I plan to add DCC sound decoders to the engines, I want to see what S scale is like.

Hi Pete,
Why not the North Penn S Gaugers in the Lansdale Area. Our mobile layout runs DCC and AC (separate lines).
We do the November Allentown Show Train Show at the FairGrounds.
North Penn S Gaugers will also be at:
The Great American Train Show, Oaks, PA August 4th & 5th
The Pennsylvania Railroad Museum August 18th Strasburg
Lansdale Founders Day, Lansdale Fire Co August 25th.
Also NPS will be at the S Gauge Event in MA as well.
We are meeting this Saturday @9:30, contact me if you want more details.

Have you checked out the Lehigh Valley S Gaugers, which is a club of model railroad enthusiasts who all model in some form of S scale. They have members who are into scale, hi-rail, American Flyer, and narrow gauge. There is a core of members in the Allentown, Pennsylvania area, but they have members who live in the Philadelphia suburbs, the Poconos, the Hershey area and beyond. The main requirement is an interest in any form of S scale and a willingness to come to the meetings. They are on the web and some of the info is a bit dated, but they have a contact page, if that’s of any help.
Good luck in your search,
Bill in FtL
Lehigh Valley S Gaugers is down to 3 members. NPS offered to merge into our larger club, but no response. There were some luminaries in Lehigh Valley, but most have passed on, I am sorry to say.
