Last Saturday night 6/06/15, Don (DGJones) and I had a fun night of running trains on his home layout.  The following pictures and videos are of his layout and his trains.  The SCL juice train belongs to me.  Check the videos in the attachments, they did not all load into main body of this post.

Thanks Steve for taking and posting these pictures and videos.  Steve is a great friend to run trains with since we both enjoy just letting them run.  He also seems to find the places to shoot that make the layout look more complete!

Thanks Marty, Peter, Jim, Spence, Brian, Laz57, Alex, Captain John and Dave for the kind comments about the layout.

Happy railroading,

Don

Don, great videos. On the fourth vid I noticed some weathering on a "Southern" car and it looked real.  What I most appreciated was there was no graffiti and a caboose on every consist.  On occasion I work next to the Roseville Ca. switching yard where everything has graffiti on it (except the engines) and no cabooses to be seen. Nice Job!

Readable, Gary and main, thanks for the kind words regarding the layout and I am sure Steve (Traintrack) appreciates the complements on the photos and videos.

David, thank you for the kind comments.  I wish I could take credit for the Southern gondola but that weathering was done by the poster's son, David Friedlander when he was still a teenager.  David has become a very accomplished modeler at an early age and as a young adult, still seems to enjoy the hobby.  I hope he sees your post as he has since commented that he does not think it is some of his best work, but for me, it is a prized possession.

Also, all of my freight trains must have a caboose, there is no graffiti as no one on the layout would be that disrespectful of the rolling stock and there are no graveyards because there is no death on my layout.

Happy railroading,

Don
