Is there a method in follow up entries by the original author to save his additional write up as a draft and not post at time of writing as he builds and checks additional photos ,comments for completeness and correctness? Currently it seems that when ever you write a follow up, it has to be posted unless you started a new post.

If you are replying to a post, there is no opportunity to save that post as a Draft. Only the Original Poster has that option as the author of the thread.
Rich, my question does pertain to the original author (poster) only in his follow ups, not other commenters. For instance, if the Original author does a part 2, or a follow up on layout progress report.

If the original poster was making a REPLY within his thread as a follow up, he could not save anything as a draft. Only the FIRST POST by the ORIGINAL AUTHOR can be saved as a draft.
