Sclupting with foam | O Gauge Railroading On Line Forum

Hello all, I was thinking of making a section of my layout with some of the woodland scenics subterrain system but I dont have a LHS that sells the foam. So my question is would a hot wire foam cutter cut the pink stuff from the local hardware store? It system looks fun to construct but if anyone has some tips before I start I would appreciate it. Definitely get the hot wire foam cutter, fast, easy, and clean. I use the system from....www.HotWireFoamFactory.com

Best investment I made for scenery.

I score the 2" pink foam with a utility cutter. Try to score at least a third of the way through it and then snap it like you would sheet rock. Makes a very clean break and it's really very easy to do. The hot knife is great for sculpting the terrain.
