I have the Champ decals but looking for the correct car to use them. Assuming this is a 40ft car with two 6ft doors. I could always take a single door and make it two doors. Any suggestions or more info on this class would be greatly appreciated. More pictures would also be appreciated. THANKS!!!

Unless you really need rivet detail, that is a candidate for a wood block. I do have one car with a similar roof, but was told it was a pre-production import, and no production resulted.
I'm think NJ Custom Brass did this style car in 40ft. I have 50ft cars that I am turning into VGN boxes. I don't think there is enough differences between the PRR and Seaboard to be noticed.

Do a forum search on Turtleback boxcars, I posted quite a bit over the years on the differences between the SAL and the PRR cars.
Railway Prototype Cyclopedia RP CYC 13 has a great article on the Seaboard Cars. Car 11850, class AF-2, is shown with the RELee logo. Not sure how many cars carried the logo but it didn’t last long.
I know in today's world its probably a politically incorrect car but I'm a Virginian and like unusual cars. The old N&W mainline(Lynchburg Belt Line) cuts our farm down the middle and I remember the N&W Class A engines pulling mixed freight with all sorts of different cars. Boxcars where different lengths, heights, paint schemes and they all had a caboose at the end...........life was good. I still enjoy watching the mixed freights but the stack trains aren't as colorful as they used to be. I miss seeing the green Evergreen, red K-Line and blue P&O with the flag.
Thanks for the info, I'll pull RPC #13 and read that.
Max Gray brought in 40' single and double door round roof box cars. If memory serves me right they of the "full width round roof" variety. Later NJCB brought in 40' and 50' PRR prototype round roof box cars. Their 50's had full width round roofs while the 40' cars had the slightly inset round roofs. Lionel recently did an X31a single door round roof with its inset roof. Attached are photos of the NJCB cars. I believe the Max Gray body would be closest to the SAL prototype.
