One thing that I believe that the Search function used to do well was to narrow the search to the dates entered. For the past three days, however, when I do a search and enter a date for 'Posted-After', the Search function returns threads posted well before the date I entered. For example, I have searched for several keywords, as well as for threads with my name, have entered March 1st as the Posted-After date, and Search returns several pages worth of threads starting back in 2011.

Is this feature of the Search function broken and will it be repaired, or am I forgetting to do something so it will work properly?

Thx!

Alex

I, too, just tried a time limited search of "double slip switch" in the "all these words" box with an "after" date of 1/1/2013 and a "before" date of 4/5/2013.  All the responses I received were from 2011 and 2012.

Maybe the search database isn't updated more frequently than annually because I received no 2013 date responses.

I alerted Hoopla Tech Support on this one, and it appears we may have discovered a bug. There is a good workaround, however.

Over on the left of the Advanced Search page, "Everything" will be checked as the active search by default. If you choose "Forums" then the date range search will work OK.

Hoopla is looking into why the date range selection does not work if "Everything" is selected.
