I have understand this is an issue for many of us. My L&N name plates on the side of my cars is coming un-glued. How are y'all re-securing it? I was thinking of pulling it most of the way off and re-securing it with gel super glue. Anyone had any luck?

Testors glue does not work from my experience. Super glue sounds like a good option.
I'm using DAP rapid fuse. Great glue for everything even metals. Out of 6 cars i acquired in the most recent run 4 had to have all the name plates or letter boards reattached. Clean off as much of the original glue you can. Makes it much easier. I must say though i have over 30 of the newer 21" cars and this is the first real problem I've had with them on delivery.
Yeah other than paint colors being pretty far off and this, I can't say I've been too disappointed with Lionel. Most of there stuff seems to be really good. I don't get too wrapped around the axle about the hobby though.
