Set Box

GAIR box number B1N759 was used for four cataloged sets; 5323T, K5423T, 5434T and 5535TBH. It was also used for three uncataloged sets; 2H302, 2H341 and 2H354. Those sets were pulled by either a 282 or 283 steam engine, or a 466 Silver Comet diesel. Since the box is date stamped 1954 by GAIR that narrows down the contents to one of two sets, either the 2H341 or the K5423T. Both of those sets were pulled by a 283 steam engine. None of the other sets, despite the numbers, were made in 1954.

Unfortunately the ink Gilbert used to stamp the set numbers on the label frequently faded.
