Hi all! I have an F3 AA set running under Legacy. I set up the motorized unit and it works fine. I have finally closed all of my track loops so I threw on the non-powered unit and cars for a whirl around the track and realized that I probably need to program the non-powered unit as well. Does anyone know how I should proceed?

if it is the same set I have use the same module for the powered "A" unit and when building the train reverse the second "A" unit.
I have found that the best way is to program each unit with a different number, and then build them as a TR(ain) under Legacy.
I have the Burlington F3 A-B-A set. (Engine numbers 9962A, B & C) I programmed the powered A unit as ENG(ine) 62, the powered B unit as ENG(ine) 63 and the non-powered A unit as ENG(ine) 64.
I then built TR(ain) 62 with the powered A (ENG 62) as the lead unit, the powered B (ENG 63) as the second unit, and the un-powered A (ENG 64) as the trailing unit running reversed. When built as a TR(ain) in this way, the lighting and couplers on the two A units operate correctly and the smoke on all 3 units operates as one.
I also have the Milwaukee F7 A-A units, and I've programmed these as a train too. The same principle as detailed above, but this time only two units in the TR(ain.)
The whole process only takes 5 minutes, and it sounds harder than it is.
That sounds pretty good to me! I'll give it a shot that way. I assume that building a train is in the legacy manual.
