Big trains, bright colors, and beaming faces…it doesn't get any better than that! Nicely done!
excellent photos, John....thanks!
Nice pictures, really very colorful to see. Also one of the better layouts there, not a lot of "junk" cluttering the middle of the layout and no "butts" seen bending over in every image. And very nice you got all 3 of your kids to help out!
Thanks for sharing those photos, John! As a relative "newbie" in the Standard Gauge world, that was a great way to start my day.

Just a little bump since Trainfest is rapidly approaching. Something to get everyone excited about the show.

Some how I missed this first time around. Great photos.
I have been trying to get to this show for years, and at under 6-hours away, it's doable. The layout is outstanding and great fun, John. Perhaps this will be the year to see it in the flesh. Thanks for posting the photos.
Mill City, if you can make it please consider bringing something to run. We always have more than enough trains to run but also encourage visitors to bring their own as well. It's really great to be able to see your big standard gauge trains stretch their legs out so to speak.

John,
You're absolutely correct! It's been a SGMA tradition from the very beginning to allow anyone who brings their Standard Gauge train to a show to allow them to run it on the SGMA layout. Those who avail themselves of this opportunity are given a chance to run their SG locos on what could well be the biggest and longest SG layout on which their trains may ever run! And there is nothing like watching your SG locomotive speed down a long, long SGMA mainline puffing along while pulling a beautiful consist of shiny Standard Gauge cars. FANTASTIC!
See you at Trainfest 2014!
Bob
