Shays,Climax & Heislers lets see them..

James, I love them too. I will take my Lionel Shay to the club next week and give it a run. It's a W. Maryland and I have been waiting to get something appropriate to pull. I just bought 8 W. Maryland flat cars from WBB. They look really good.

Dave would love to see your pictures when avaliable.
It is great to see a long rack of wood cars,lost count think I have around 20 mixed brands & styles.

After watching this DVD (several times), my wife became a big Shay fan. Just a few days ago I ordered a Lionel 3-Truck version from our Sales & Trade forum, as a Chruistmas present for her (don't have it yet).

Sorry to read that James. Check all the linkages and external mechanisms. Maybe something has jammed, they are so complicated, I'm always in fear of this.

I try and find photos of the prototype to reference when I do my weathering.

I never thought I would have the room for a logging branch line, and I thought that a shay was not my cup of tea....but after I heard the sounds on this little puppy, I decided I just had to have it, they are way cool!

I finally found the Lionel Sugar Pine Lumber 2-truck Shay w/Legacy.  I love the way these things run!

 

 

 

 

 

...and then RATS!!! factory paint flaw.... real bummer.
