I know its silly, but it's late and I'm in a whimsical mood in spite of too many serious goings on today with my trains . . . .
I recently bought an MTH 4-4-0. Road number of 999 for only $499.95. Divide the road number by the price and you get 1.9985, or essentially 2.0 per dollar. So I got "two" for every dollar I spent.
Viewed this way, Lionel's Legacy Union Pacific 4-12-2, Road number 9000, is a bargain at $1,300. 9000/$1300. You get 6.92 per dollar. Wow!
Anyone know of a better bargain that that out there somewhere?
