The small black yard slug is made from a Railking SW8 calf. I just removed the body and made the slug body so that I can return the slug back into a SW8 calf.

The larger slug is made from a Lionel dummy GP frame from the 1980's that did not have the metal hand rails welded to the frame.  On those frames the hand rail posts were made of plastic with a wire hand rail.  I got extra plastic hand rail posts and added them to a ones that came on the frame to make the length I needed and glugged them onto the frame. Used "For Sale" signs from Walmart to make the body. The rear truck on the slug is a powered truck from a Lionel engine with the can motor in the truck.  That powered truck has a center pickup roller and the front dummy truck has electricmagnet coupler. The MU wires you see between the engine and slug are for the center and outside track rails pickups, can motor power, front coupler and the slugs front light.  The Engine has ERR TMCC in it.  I think Lionel made the SD trucks that were for dummy engines and may have made them with the can motors in the trucks, if so, you could power up the RPU6 slug.  I ordered some of the add on parts from Atlas O used on the their GP engines.
