about a year later I ordered and purchased the Lionel Corp, (MTH) Standard Gauge Baby Blue Comet Set.
384 Loco and 2 passenger cars.
Never ran them together before last Friday night and found out the baby blue comet cars are substantially smaller than the baby state set cars. They are almost a full inch shorter than the state set cars. I always assumed they were made from the same tooling, which is NOT the case.
