I have a Lionel 38472 S2 C&O Switcher I just bought and the smoke generator quit working. I looked at how to get the shell off to see if I could see any thing however it still is under warranty so I didn't want to mess it up by removing the shell. Not sure what screws I need to remove any way. It is a Legacy and I am running it with the latest Cab 1 remote. I did the reset routine and still not working. I can feel heat about the stack and can hear the fan by pushing 8 for off and 9 for on but no smoke. Any ideas would be welcome. Or box it up and send it to the Carolinas next month once Lionel gets set up again.
