Hello Group!
I've seen previous posts on how to convert early smoke units to work with PS-3 conversion kits, but the unit I have looks different than the one in a previous post. Too much at stake for me to ruin my PS-3 board, so I'm asking the experts for guidance! The new upgrade board refers to two brown wires (pins 8, 10) for the heater portion of the smk. two green wires (16,18) for the fan, and blue PV at pin 14, and last but not least, a grey PV5 at pin 21. So I know the fan motor will run in both directions, so the green and gray orientation is critical, but shouldn't cause harm if initially wired backwards? I'm including 3 pics of the smoke unit I got off of Ebay. My goal here is to add "smoke" to an RDC Budd car, which did not have smoke originally. Kind of a treat for me to succeed with this conversion! Thanks ahead of time for your help, as I know you all will contribute!
