I opened up my LionChief Plus CNJ Camelback to oil the smoke unit fan.  It's very sqeally.  The tiny screws that hold the board to the top of the unit are frozen.  I've never seen that happen before.

Before I create an expensive disaster... would warming the screwheads with the tip of a soldering iron damage the board?

The body of the smoke unit is black plastic, …no??…..the screws should be JIS head, ….I’ve never seen them frozen, just oober tight, …..may have to take the smoke unit out of the engine, so you can grasp it in your hand better, and put some pressure on those screws, …..just don’t slip, or you’ll have some splainin’ to do to the ER staff while they get the JIS screwdriver out of your palm……..better yet, put a rag around it, and chuck it up in a vise, …..carefully, if you hear crunching, reverse the vise!…😉
