Skip,
Unfortunately being in IT I can work from home and only look at my trains .... What I am not looking forward to is going out later tonight to clean everything up ... Have fun running trains everyone!
Pardon the pun, but cool scene Skip! Going outside to fire up the snowblower.....
Being retired and having a neighbor with a snowblower we're good. Working on my control panel for my 6019 and 6029 unload/uncouple ramps and to operated my 97 coaling tower and log loader and car.
Way too many wires but I'm committed to conventional.
Skip where is your "plow extra?" As you stated, it's a NYC snow day!
Incredibly awesome!!! : )
I did the shoveling and that was heavy snow! About 8 or 9 inches but it felt like double. My driveway is steep and unusually slippery when it snows so I'm afraid of getting a snowblower.
I don't usually work from home but today I heard the early reports of multiple accidents and jack-knifed tractor trailer trucks on the snow covered NYS Thruway and decided to play with my trains.
And, Mark....the plow is out on the main line of course.
Stay warm my friends!
Skip,
Great photos! No snow here in TX, but ran some trains today just the same!
We were very lucky here in South Jersey. Our crack meteorologists in Philly predicted we'd get 4 to 8 inches but we got only 1 instead. Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining but about a month ago they predicted we'd get 1 inch but we got 6 instead. Guess I'll have to always reverse their predictions. Anyway, I spent the afternoon working on a fine old 726 Gold Seal Motor from one of my 1946 Lionel Berkies. Great motors to work on.
No such luck down here. Been in the 80s past few days BUT it did get to a crisp 58 degrees last night. Got to 27 couple of days first week of January. Have to wait for the heat to get forced indoors this summer.
Great post Skip.
Shoveled 14" of snow on LI.....twice..... on two houses ( In-laws are down the street). I was just putting the snowblower away when the town plows came through again and buried the driveway and sidewalk.
Worked on some scenery before I went outside.
Bob
I've been watching the snow storm on the Weather Channel. I am so glad I live in Florida. Yall can keep all of that, I'll take my 100 degree temps and high humidity.

Please do! I had to get the snow blower out yesterday to clear 8" of Pennsylvania snow off my driveway, but I'll still take that over heat and humidity any day.
I went in to work. The whole thing was done between when I met in at 7 and got out at 4.
Caught this pic on the way home.
