Recently, some MTH items I want, that are listed on the site that shall not be named, are generating sale offers from the sellers…
Lately the things I want are priced ridiculously or they get sniped by the auto-bidder apps…
This “offering to sell to me at a lower cost” is making me nervous…
Why are people being nice to me?

I'm getting them as well and some of them are fairly huge discounts but I'm on a buying hiatus (I've been known to lie on occasion). My guess is people are trying to sell the items before this weekend because after that, they feel there will be limited interest in them.

As an Ebay seller, you get prompted to offer discounts to people who have either viewed or are watching your item. If you drop the price by 5%, they will contact the buyers with your offer.
Nothing to worry about, I get those offers all the time and if the discount is substantial I buy. I put an item in my watch list the other day and within minutes I was offered a 33 % discount which I acted upon. If the seller has good feedback you are good to go.
